After featuring many of our jackets in The Bikeriders, we jumped at the chance to work with costume designer Erin Benach again to create an exclusive limited edition jacket inspired by the D-pocket leather jacket worn by The Vandals motorcycle club leader Johnny in the film.

the "Vandals" Perfecto jacket is a reinterpretation of the vintage jacket worn in the movie The Bikeriders.
The jacket has a back length of 25 inches, which is authentic to the period. We added an iridescent burgundy rainglow lining which is a nod to the red linings of the time. The D-pocket configuration is featured in our first Perfecto motorcycle jacket designed by Irving Schott in 1928.

The leather undergoes a special tumbling process, enhancing its texture to reveal a pebbled natural grain. This softens the leather without diluting the strength.

PIECE OF HISTORY
Have to admit I wasn't aware of this model until I watched "The Bikeriders" and saw photos in "Vandals: The Photography of The Bikeriders" I have an old 125 and a newer 118 so it took me a while to decide I needed to take a ride to NYC to check it out. The store is amazing! I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs. This 568 "Vandals" in large is a perfect fit. The pebbled cowhide is amazing. Being a different style and a different type of leather made it a must have. The early Black Friday sale price made it even better. I wore it all the way back to Philly and I don't want to take it off...
LEATHER REMINISCENT OF THE 519
This gorgeous Vandals jacket is very reminiscent of my first Schott jacket some years ago, the 519.
The waxy pebbled cowhide is so gorgeous and feels so wonderful to the touch.
It's a totally different experience from the steerhide 613 or even the naked cowhide 118 but very much worth it as its own vibe.
Regarding the recommended belt. I am about 6 ft tall about 175 lb 41 inch chest and 36 in waist. The recommended size 40 belt would have been way too big. I instinctively purchased the 38 and I am on the last hole or the second to last hole depending on what I've eaten that day.
This jacket is a piece of artwork that will take you way back to a different time and a whole different attitude. I love it.
Also I have to mention the awesomeness of Denise as she helped through the transaction including an exchange from a large to a medium seamlessly.
Glad to add this jacket to my stable of Schott NYC jackets!
THE BIKERIDERS MOVIE BROUGHT ME HERE
Didn’t know about this company until I saw and researched the movie. It’s true, you get what you pay for. Ordered online and was nervous cause it’s hit or miss when it comes to sizing with me. Well it fit true to size. First thing I noticed was how soft the leather is and how it almost immediately hugs your body for a snug but comfortable fit. Very happy it didn’t look bulky as well. Can’t wait to hop on a bike and get the full vibe of this beautiful jacket. I’ll be visiting the LA store soon for the belt(Bltv as suggested) to complete the jacket.

This jacket Feels amazing right out of the box...buttery soft, and the fit is as though it was custom measured for me. The look of the jacket reminds me of Buco J-series horsehide jackets from the 50's...Adding the optional Horween belt only reinforces the bad-ass vibe of this jacket. If there was one thing I'd change It would be the leather itself...would love this jacket in a heavy stiff horsehide. If Schott does that, I will buy the first one !! Other than that minor kvetch, I think this is a great addition to the collection.
PERFECT JACKET FOR ME
Weight makes it comfortable to wear and not a burden. Very nicely styled with D pocket which is handy for concealed carry and curved yoke on the back with extra rivets on lower back. Nice satin lining and zippers are conveniently located on top of the sleeves. Great pebbled texture and smell.
COMFORTABLE BEAUTIFUL JACKET
My Vandals jacket has arrived and it's gorgeous, just the right weight and fits nicely. It's different from my Perfecto so it's adds to my wardrobe rather than duplicating something that I already have. Online customer service was helpful in making my decision to buy.
ANOTHER MASTERPIECE
Another awesome jacket by Jason and his incredible team at Schott! My second jacket this year, and I'm again blown away by the quality, fit, shipping and communication from this team. I went with Large per the sizing calculator, and it's a great fit. I may have the sleeves shortened a little because i don't ride anymore, and simply do not need the extra length. If you are on the fence, go for it. You will not be disappointed.
I FEEL LIKE A BADASS!
So i got hooked on the BikeRiders movie a few months ago. Watched it many times thinking, I need a jacket like those guys. After all, I’m a rider myself. So I watched some YouTube videos on best biker style jackets and found you guys. Never heard of Schott NYC before. After further research, I read your company supplied some of the jackets for the movie; great, now I really want one! I jump on your website and see the Vandal edition!! Whoa! I need this jacket! I didn’t even need to grab the wallet; PayPal it is! After some sizing issues and great customer service and extremely fast shipping, i finally get to rock this baby out in the public. The compliments were non stop! Smells great, feels great, fits awesome! I’m super happy! Hell, i may order a 2nd one just to have a perfect one 20 years later lol. Thanks Schott NYC for making this gem.
FIVE STARS!
I have wanted a Schott leather jacket since the early 80's when I was going to Punk shows in So. Cal. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Vandal 568 jacket. I am 59 years old, 5 foot 7 inches tall, weight of 175 lbs, and a 43 inch chest. The Schott fit guide recommended a size Large for a "standard" fit preference and it fit me exactly how I wanted. The jacket is beautifully made and the pebbled cowhide is extremely soft and will require no break in. My main concern was the jacket front/back length because of my height I wanted the jacket to be shorter in length so when I'm riding my motorcycle I wouldn't get "bunching" (when the jacket is too long and it fits awkward because the jacket hangs too low below the waist when in the riding position). This jacket fits me perfectly for riding a motorcycle! My final thoughts are this Vandal jacket might just be the most awesome article of clothing I have ever owned and I am extremely happy I bought it!!!
