Canvas Countryman's Sunset Jacket

Sale price  $140 USD Regular price  $280 USD

The 8533 Countryman’s Sunset Jacket is built around a classic workwear silhouette, executed in heavy compound cotton canvas with functional cold-weather details. The 27" length and zip front keep the profile straightforward and practical, while the 7-wale corduroy collar and corozo button-flap pockets bring in traditional field-jacket character.

What defines this style is the back: a multi-panel “sunset” yoke with a half-belt detail, giving the jacket structure and a distinct visual identity rooted in heritage design. Utility is carried throughout with top-entry storage pockets, flannel-lined handwarmer pockets, and two interior pockets.

I'm 5' 10", 160 pounds; medium fit me perfectly. It's got a lined feel--definitely something you're wearing on a cold windy beach night or anyplace where Autumn is a serious affair.

Unbelievable value at the sales price!! Love the weight, canvas texture looks slightly weathered in a great way, interior is classical soft and warm without being bulky. At 5'9 175lbs athletic body, I was in between the small and medium. The medium fit great in the body with room to layer up to a hoodie but the arms were too long. The Small was tight in the body with room for a light flannel and T, and the arm length feel just right so the medium went back and I kept the small. Can't wait till the fall!

Amazing jacket!!!

What a beautiful jacket! I have been looking at this jacket for a few weeks now and glad that I finally have it. Shipping was very fast (and free). I am 59, 5'8, 215 with a 50' chest so I hover usually around XL to XXL. I used the size chart on the website to go with the XXL and it is a great fit! The jacket has a generous cut, well suited for layering. It feels just shy of being broken in, and begs to be worn from the first day of Fall to the last cold days of Spring. The jacket has a full corduroy collar. The cuffs of the sleeves are not corduroy lined, and there is a single button at the cuff. Those buttons (one each at the cuff, two at the front pockets and two each on the back adjusters are a beautiful touch, btw. You get a spare as well..) The interior is a gorgeous vintage plaid and very warm. The two interior pockets are deep and my 7in phone fit great. The tough exterior feels bulletproof and ready for field and pavement. The exterior pockets are well placed. The length hits just right and the olive color is beautiful and will pair well. It's like someone took 3 of my favorite styles and meshed them into one; I could not be happier with my purchase and loved the free stickers Schott's was kind enough to send along. I have a feeling the Countryman's Sunset Jacket will be a best seller so get yours while you can! I feel I will be a repeat customer! Happy trails!

Great jacket

I really like this jacket. I bought it because I refuse to pay absurd prices for a thrashed Carhartt Detroit in my size, and because I have multiple leather jackets from Schott that I love and I trust Schott’s quality and attention to detail.
The quality of materials on this is excellent. The outer canvas feels very rugged. It starts off stiff but over a week or two of use it becomes more pliable. I like the colors and the softness of the cotton flannel lining too. The fit is a straight fit and not the tapered fit like an old Carhartt, but that’s fine with me. If there’s one nit I would pick, it’s that I would probably like this even more than I do if it was slightly tapered.
I’m 5’10”, 160 lbs, 38-40” chest and the medium was too large for me to wear it without layering a hoodie underneath. Even with a hoodie it looked obviously too big. Schott customer service was great and I exchanged it for a small and that fits perfect on me. It looks good on its own but there’s still enough room to layer a hoodie underneath.

Bullet proof fit, rustic design

Dudes, this jacket is fire.
I am a medium vs large in Schott jackets. I am 6’4, ~size 40 chest, 195 lb.
This jacket is long and lean with a rustic feel to it. I absolutely love the fit of this jacket. A medium is a perfect fit as it has a relaxed fit in the armpits while not being too baggy in the body. I wish I had a black rough out suede jacket in this exact fit (take note, Schott designers).
The washed olive canvas is so beautiful. I couldn’t be happier.
Can’t wait to hang by a bonfire come autumn and vibe, wearing this jacket.
