Very stylish and light weight. It fits great too. I can wear a thick hoodie underneath and still be comfortable. I ordered a size Medium (5' 7" 160 pounds - athletic build) and it fits fairly snug but still with plenty room to be comfortable and layer underneath. The leather is soft and feels like it's broken in already. It's about half the weight of my 613. Easy to wear daily.

Feels great, love the design, recently went down in a slide and only a light scuff over the pocket where my phone was that was pressing it against the street. But the entire rest of the jacket is unfazed. I know a thousand dollars is definitely a lot for a jacket, but its meant to be a lifetime piece so you don't rebuy cheap plastic every year with 0 durability. Definitely getting any future leather from here.

I had wanted a double rider for a while but struggled to find a jacket that looked great with a simpler design. Enter the 503! It's the classic style while dialing down some of the extra elements which (to me) makes a very versatile and great looking jacket.

I'm 191cm (6'3) and 87kg (191lbs) and after talking through measurements with the Schott team I was recommended a large to extra large. I went with the large for a fitted / standard fit and couldn't be happier. I could wear a hoody underneath but it'd have to be thin material perhaps best to size up if wanting to wear thicker clothes underneath.

I am 6’, around 175 lbs, wear size 43 suits (when I can find them) and 34 inch pants. The large fits, arms and shoulders move easily, sleeves are long apparently by design but not uncomfortably so.

The jacket is nice and pliable, goes on easily, has enough pockets, and gives a decent degree of warmth for what it is. Construction is nice and tidy, the zippers work, the main zipper is nice and large so it works well. The smell is a good leather smell rather than the bad kind.

I like the absence of shiny parts and epaulets.

Against my disposition I give it five stars, because it pretty much is exactly what I wanted when I ordered it.

NB to Schott: If you use the menus to look at mens’ leather jackets, the 503VN shows up but not the 503, as far as I can see. If you look at all mens’ jackets the 503 shows up.

This is an amazing jacket. I have been looking for a nice, lightweight motorcycle jacket and I am glad I stumbled upon this company. This jacket is built to last and is true to size. I am 5’10, 220 pounds and usually wear an extra sexy (XL) in jackets. I ordered the XL and the jacket fits perfect, almost as it was tailored to me.

Overall the purchase process was amazing. The fitting department advised me regarding the right size. If you are unsure, contact them and they will tell you the right size. It turns out that the jackets have different fits, So you might want to double check. I am a proud owner of 503. This is an amazing jacket. I am so impressed with the quality. It is so masculine and sexy at the same time. And it will probably last for generations. I live in Kazakhstan, and even here you can find Schott admirers.

This jacket is for those who does not want the heavy biker motorcycle jacket but towards the fashion side. I have the P665, 118, 135, and the 673 jacket.
The 665, 118, and 673 are heavy jackets, this is not.
I am a size 41 chest with muscular build and i find medium fits snug large enough for a sweater underneath.
Now this does not mean by any chance this jacket is flimsy. This jacket is middleweight similar to popular 530 and 519. This jacket has a clean look And the leather is the 500 series which is waxy aniline middleweight cowhide. The leather is supple and the more you wear it, the more vintage it will look. Also the cowhide is around/ less than 1mm(again middleweight)
For me this jacket is easy to dress em up or dress em down depending on your outfit.
Get this if you want a clean looking perfecto style jacket!

Great jacket! Exactly what I was looking for. I haven't ridden in a minute, so I didn't need a heavyweight super thick setup, but although this is listed as "light" it feels very substantial, more like a mid weight jacket. Since I'm not on a bike at the moment, I wanted a toned down version of the classic perfecto and that's just what I got. And even though this is tilted to the fashion side, with a slightly thinner leather (at about 1mm average), I feel that this would be fine for low speed cruising around town if I ever get back on again. Good clean style with crossover potential, what's not to love?
