Quality Jacket in everyway, The Leather, the Stitching, the Brass Zipper, the Pockets, the "Elastic" Cuffs and Waist, are all Superb, The Bi-Swing Back make movement of your arms easy in all directions. Sizes run true, whith 42-43" chest, M is very nice.

not only a moto & mil leather jacket nut but the G-1 is my fave. there are so many varieties of G-1 but the main division is those made for military use and those for civilian use. everything can be styled the same even, and there will be differences because of the use made for.

actual mil contract G-1s are historically cool, but quickly mass manufactured and you will find 'acceptable' contract faults. those who love the G-1 need at least one historical. BUT if you love them you also need a more well-crafted version, which would be a premium G-1 civilian version with actual mil contract design elements.

that would be this great G-1. albeit it does have a few differences: 1. made of more premium lambskin, 2. side entry hand warmers (which are expertly done so as to be hidden), 3. detachable mouton collar (mils are not detachable.

all of the additions of the civi version make it non-historical from a collector's POV, but more usable. Of all the many G-1s i've ever purchased, this is the most high end and enjoyable to luxuriate in. it was a real treat for myself. and yes, i knew it was made in China to Schott's design/production standards. it is such a wonderful jacket, that does not deter me from loving it.

So sad to find out this jacket is made in China. I got the last one in the store for 25% off but it was final sale. Got home and realized it has a made in China tag on it... such a shame for an American icon. Still a nice jacket but not the same knowing it is imported from China.

The best jacket in the world. I have my motorcycle jacket I perched in 1986 and still wear it.

While this jacket is imported, it is made to Schott quality standards: great leather, seams, style, and craftsmanship. I am 6'4", 220lbs, a 46 chest but with broad shoulders and I prefer a looser fit to wear a sweatshirt underneath. While I usually go with 2XL and/or 48 (long) sizes with Schott, I ordered an XL. That gave me the fit I prefer (i.e. go down one size of what you normally order - a 2XL would have been too bulky here). Schott actually suggests L, but they are always a bit on the snug side (at least for my taste). Great jacket - I recommend it and would buy it again. Don't hesitate and go for it - you won't regret it.

The quality of the G-1 from leather quality, to fit and finish is nothing short of a superior product. I love the leather quality and styling. I purchased the G-1 for weekend outings but due to the beautiful quality I could wear this jacket anywhere. I am very happy with my purchase from Schott.

I love the smell of leather in the morning. The robust and vibrant smell of leather. This leather jacket is the real deal. Sized to fit as noted on the Schott website. Well made and attention to detail was evident. I highly recommend this leather jacket if you're looking for an aviator-style leather jacket.

This is by far the best jacket I have ever purchased. Customer service alone is worth buying from Schott! The jacket delivered is better quality in my opinion to many others I have researched. I really believe it is a value given the quality.

I bought this jacket in memory of my dad who was a US Navy pilot for 33 years. When I was a young boy I would wear his and play in it. This new jacket is exactly the same.
It will be worn proudly and with great respect of my dad and all military service members.

I have owned this jacket for over 10 years. I am absolutely pleased and recommend it. living in southern California prevent me from wearing it often, however I derive great pleasure when i can wear it. The fit and finish is excellent; and it looks great in various clothing combinations.

great look and feel and a perfect fit driving the roadster. well insulated but not too hefty warming so you feel comfy also when driving a sporty style. recommended.
