This jacket is a remarkable garment. Heavy, warm and soft inside and out, also rugged both in looks and durability. A winter coat for sure, I'd like to see a zip out lining option. That would stretch the season for its use.
I am a lucky man to have several Schott jackets; this buffalo leather bomber jacket is also in the tradition of the Schott house!
Superb, sturdy thick leather with an almost sensual waxy touch, perfectly fitting cut and an absolutely fine manufacturing!
I am 6'2' and 210lbs. I went with an XL and it works just fine for me. I used the online size finder and it actually recommended a L for regular fit - I opted for the relaxed fit, and that panned out for me, while it is not very roomy (an XXL would likely have worked as well). The jacket is of great quality and the leather and liner have a "solid feel" to it (it's not a summer jacket and it shows). The design is very nice. I also love the collar. Wonderful product - do not hesitate !
I thought a lot before dropping this amount on a jacket, but impressed doesn’t even begin to describe the sense of quality in Schott’s construction. Ended up purchasing a Medium after giving measurements to the team (6ft, 83kg), they were very prompt and helpful. The jacket fits perfectly. The removable shearling collar is a nice touch and the compliments keep rolling in. Highly recommend Schott, you can’t go wrong.
I ordered this jacket in late February and it took about 6 weeks to arrive due to backorder. However, it was well worth the wait. This is my second Schott; first was a 118 purchased in NYC. The leather is very soft to the touch and feels great on. I've already worn the jacket with and without the Sheepskin collar depending on weather conditions, and here in Denver that can change in a matter of hours. I'm 6'4", 215Lbs, and the Large fits me perfectly. I was concerned about the sizing so I reached out via e-mail and everyone was very helpful in sending me measurements and recommending the Large rather than the XL. I'm glad I didn't buy it too big and risk it looking sloppy. This is an amazing jacket and well worth the investment in quality.
I'm 6' 2" 205 lbs. I bought the XL and it is a perfect fit. I also own a 641 which needed a year to break in but the 594 is ready to go out of the box. The jacket is also very warm - it's been 0-10 degrees (f) here in NH and the jacket kept me warm with a sweater. The lambs wool collar looks great and is also functional. Interior pocket is big enough to hold most things you would put there.
This is my third Schott jacket - I started with a 184SM about ten years ago. And then a B3 (257S) about five years ago. Both age great jackets and have held up well. But, you know, it's been ten years. I've gotten a little bigger over the years - the 184SM still fits, but it's getting a big snug. So that drove the purchase of the 594. I ordered a 4x, as I'm 6' and 270. So, not small. The 4x is probably a tad bigger than I need, but I like the roomy fit. The sleeve fit is perfect, with the knit cuffs tucked in just a big.
The weight of the leather on the 594 is similar to the weight on the 184SM. The fit and finish? Excellent, typical Schott jacket. There is an inside the left breast pocket that is deep enough for a iPhone 7Plus in an Otter box *and* a wallet. A zipper on that inside pocket would be nice, but as it is it has a button about halfway across the width of the pocket. Your phone or wallet won't fall out. The pockets on the outside? More for decoration than anything else, but it's a bomber jacket and I wouldn't expect them to hold a bunch of stuff. The lining? A quilted lining - I was running around wearing it this afternoon in Chicago - it was about 34 degrees and it was pretty nice. It's no B3 (which is way too hot but for the coldest days), but it's nice.
I ordered this on Sunday night. I'm wearing it on Wednesday - that's pretty cool. All in all, I continue to be a very pleased Schott customer.
