We added the 184SM to the line in 1977 to provide style to the civilian market based on the originals, but with added function and comfort. The 184SML is our long version with extra back and arm length
The 4-in-1 Combination can be worn four ways:
- With collar and pile liner on
- With collar, but no pile liner
- With pile liner, but no collar.
- Without pile liner or collar
About this leather: Our naked cowhide leather is a premium top grain cowhide that combines comfort and durability. The leather boasts a naturally tight open pore structure that ensures a softer touch and superior comfort. Its weight and warmth are on par with deluxe heavy steerhide. The full aniline, drum dyed process preserves the leather’s texture, enhancing its natural grain with a subtle, semi-matte finish. It is then vacuum dried (instead of toggle dried) that leads to a slightly stiffer result as the fibers are not stretched and softened. The leather is designed to age gracefully and expand its characteristics over time.
