Still Doin' It By Hand | Schott NYC x The Wall of Death

As American as The Wall of Death. Heading into the holiday weekend, we figured what better time to celebrate one of the most entertaining century-old thrill shows. Last October, we linked up with the @amdcwallofdeath crew at @t.r.o.g._official and let them take a few of our jackets for a test ride.

"There are spirits in here. there's three different people's ashes in our paint."

The Wall of Death first debuted at Coney Island in 1911, two years before our founders Irving and Jack started making raincoats in a Lower East Side basement.

While the world has changed immensely in the last century, the Wall of Death has not. This Wall was built by original owner Jay Lightnin' over 25 years ago, becoming the largest Wall in the country. It's still assembled and broken down by hand, and transported on a truckbed throughout the Eastern United States every April through October.

Led by 10 year veteran Hobo Bill, and daredevils Ariell Flight and JR Sparks, the trio dizzy the masses back to entertainment in its purest...and loudest form.

From one century-old practice to another, we had the priviledge to outfit the crew with our 613MO, 218W, and 618HH at the 2024 running of The Race of Gentlemen - a vintage American drag race on the sands of Wildwood Beach, NJ.
