This jacket is so beautiful it’s difficult to know where to begin. The leather is heavy, yet supple, thick, yet patinas nicely, and overall it fits great! I am 6’ and 180 lbs and the Medium is a match made in heaven. I seriously can’t get enough wear time in this jacket. Come spring time, I’m looking forward to taking it out on the bike.
This is a handsome and functional heavyweight jacket. Using the fit guide assured a perfect fit. The arm length was perfect for movement. I can’t wait to see how it ages!
Love this jacket (P673).
This thing is heavy duty.
Beautiful leather.
Top notch quality.
SUPERB fragrance!
I am 5'10", 190lbs, 44 chest.
I am right between a large and X-large.
Got this one in XL and I am able to wear a hoodie underneath.
The jacket has the bi-swing back design so I am sure that a large would have worked for me as well, just wouldn't have had room for layers.
Original shipping was super fast.
First jacket they sent me had a bad shoulder gusset. Shipped it back for exchange and they kindly shipped me a good one.
This process was accomplished within a couple weeks.
I own several Schotts and I am happy with all of them.
Next one will be a Horween.
I ordered this in black and absolutely loved it when I opened the box. This is a beautiful heavyweight jacket that was a perfect fit. I'm 6', 175 with 42" chest. The problem with this jacket is the color started coming off on my hands just from handling it so I knew it would ruin my light grey leather car seats. I also started checking on oiled nubuck leather and found it doesn't do well in rain. As beautiful as this jacket is I think it has too many drawbacks. Too much maintenance. I would buy this again if made in a matte black full grain leather.
Response from Schott NYC: It is true, just like raw indigo denim some of our leathers do have a small but noticeable amount of color transfer and black roughout nubuck is perhaps the most noticeable. Some customers appreciate that this is what leads to a beautiful patina after some wear, but it is not for everyone. We actually do offer this exact body in a pure vegetable tanned Horween leather style P693.
High quality, perfect weight... Perfect jacket
The Schott Storm Delivery jacket fits true to size. Schott provides excellent customer service. Storm jacket itself: you will in no ways be disappointed. The quality is there. One may purchase leathers from Orvis, Bean, or Bauer - all made in China. The Storm jacket is the real deal. Made in the USA, it has the look and the feel that others copy. This is also a Perfecto jacket, and like Schott’s other Perfectos it’s made to last. Again, you will not be disappointed. That’s an understatement.
Exactly what I'd hoped for. Perfect fit, materials, look. All of it. Highly recommend.
They say that good things come in three's and that is certainly true because this is my 3rd Schott coat and like the first two this one is equally good-looking, built like a tank and fits perfectly. The craftsmanship is the finest in the world. I live out on the prairie of South Dakota and I wouldn't be afraid to face the fiercest of storms or ride the meanest of bulls in this coat and when I'm done with that I'd wear it to the fanciest restaurant in town because it just looks so stunning!
This is how iconic these jackets are: I was in a microbrewery outside of Garmisch, Germany in the dead of winter, wearing this jacket in brown as I sampled the various brews. Someone behind me taps my shoulder and says, "Excuse me, is that a Schott?"
I said, "yep, how'd you know?" He said, "they make incredible jackets, you can always spot a Schott." True story. The Storm was my first Schott purchase but I'm already scouring their site for my next one. At 5'11", 165 pounds with an athletic build, the small fits like a glove. I can wear a long sleeve shirt and light sweater under it, which is perfect for fall and winter outings. The build, cut, color, heft, and smell are all outstanding. The color is cinnamon - changes a bit in the light. Sometimes is a rich brown, sometimes has a reddish/rusty hue, in a good way.
1. don't call it a biker jacket
2. Cut the weight of the leather or thickness in half it is way too heavy.
3. Make the cuffs adjustable. snap adjustment for one inch.
4. The lining needs to be more versatile color a beige or a plaid.
5. I would give the quality ,color, style and proportions 5 stars.
Response from Schott NYC: We agree with point 1 - we shouldn't have called this a biker jacket - this is a delivery jacket and we have changed that. We consider way too heavy to be a compliment. We offer this same cut in lighter leathers but this one is for people who appreciate a jacket that basically stands up on its own but without too much break in period.
