AN OBVIOUS CHOICE
Classic style. American made. Great fit. What else could you want? This coat is simply perfect. It is sized wonderfully, taking into consideration winter weather and that you’ll be wearing a sweater or multiple layers. There’s plenty of room without it being baggy or chunky. The material soft yet robust. It’s great.

AWESOME PURCHASE
I ordered this jacket to accompany me for a move from South Florida to Washington DC this month in anticipation of the shock from colder temperatures. Not only is this jacket high quality wool and built to last, it is extremely warm and well tailored. I have received multiple compliments as soon as I started wearing it. I am extremely satisfied and will continue to buy products from Schott. If you're considering this coat just get one - you won't be sorry.
SINGLE BREASTED CAR COAT; STYLE 709
I'm 5'-10", 225 lbs with a 49 chest. The sizer suggested a XXL. I ordered that and it was too big. Within days I had an XL replacement. The Schott exchange policy is super easy and quick. The XL fits perfectly and the quality is what I have come to expect from Schott; excellent. Highly recommended if you are looking for a warm jacket that works in many settings.
WITHOUT SPEECH
My first Schott item and couldn’t be more impressed. The quality for the price is simply outstanding, to say the very least.
The size chart is spot on - I am 5”11, 255-260, broader built in chest/shoulders/upper back and this fits perfectly. Even with a hoodie or a crewneck it still looks great. The sleeve length is perfect too. Usually sleeves are too long or too short.
And the silky lining and weight of the coat is just a cherry on top. Almost went with a Filson Mackinaw but it was too heavy and itchy and no lining and more a shirt jacket. This is as good as a wool coat gets.
PURE PERFECTION
Having owned a Schott double-breasted pea coat in the past, I knew I could anticipate quality and warmth. This coat overdelivers on craftsmanship. style and comfort. Perfect for freezing upstate winters, you cannot go wrong in one of these. I'm a customer for life.
TRADED BACK FOR A PEA COAT
First of all dealing with Schott is a pleasure.
After getting the single breasted coat , I wanted to see the Pea coat. In the end, I felt although the single breasted coat was nice the Pea coat was a better buy, for durability and length of service. It really is a garment I will keep for years, as that's what I like to do. Buy for the long term. Pea coat five stars, single breasted 4 stars.
EXUDES QUALITY
Top quality fits perfect I am 5'11 1/2" 158 pounds 38" chest this coat is a toned down version of a navy Peacoat well tailored can be used for causal or formal sized in a medium. I can only say that I was luckily enough to deal with Jerri in customer service she defiantly knows what will work for your fit and her product knowledge is fantastic! I did try on a 740 size 38 peacoat well made top quality great fit this was more coat than I needed it looked great tailored well , also tried on a 751 slim fit little too snug, I just did the return forms for them very easy process on buying a coat from Schott being able to look at their inventory on line Fantastic Brand and People QUALITY ALL THE WAY!
GREAT FIT AND SUPERB QUALITY
It is versatile coat and can be worn for most any occasion. The construction and finish compares well to the Schott peacoat but I prefer the fit and styling of the car coat when worn. It might be too light for the coldest of Iowa City winter but during the fall and early winter, it's my go-to coat.
