be the first to hear about exclusive first-looks, super secret sales,
I have 2 other schott jacket, one is 184sm (nice naked cow hide) and another is P665 asset.
The 184 is kind of bulky but very warm and heavy, suitable for winter weather. P665 is like an armor, need at least a few years to completely break in.
Now this raven jacket is absolute a dream to wear. I got the S size which fit me very nicely, no break in needed. I'm 5 foot 10, 37 chest size and 170lb. Normally wears small or 38 in suit sizes. My P665 is size small and 184 is size 38.
Ok, let's face it, spending a thousand plus dollars on a leather jacket is insane. I can't afford it but that didn't stop me from walking through their nyc store and trying out the jackets.I wasn't planning or expecting to fall in love with a jacket but that's exactly what happened. I came across the Raven. So simple in design and clean. However once i felt the soft leather, that was it for me. This jacket , as with all Schott jackets, screams quality. Once you've felt the leather on the Raven jacket, you'll understand. This isn't one of those fancy designer brand leather jackets. This is the kind of jacket that will age beautifully and will last for years and years. I wanted it but just couldn't justify spending over a grand on it. So i waited and hoped for some sale. I waited for what felt like years, then finally Schott threw out a discount code and I didn't hesitate. I grabbed that jacket. I saved a couple of bucks and got my dream jacket with no regrets. I'm gonna have this jacket forever. It's going to look better and better each passing year. That's what great leather jackets do, they get better. Thanks Schott for making such a fine product! By the way, side note...the leather of this jacket smells incredible! Real leather jacket aficionados will understand.
This is my 3rd Schott coat. Amazing quality and craftsmanship as always. Coat is perfect for Fall and Spring. Nice weight but not too heavy. Schott makes the best leather coats, well worth every penny.
My first real investment on a leather jacket. Absolutely love this piece. I was debating a long time between the classic motorcycle style and something more casual. After a lot of thought, this jacket I could wear to ANYTHING and it would be appropriate. Work, school, interviews, you name it. Best decision I could have made. The lambskin is so buttery smooth to the touch. Even though it's lightweight, I still find it durable and warm in cold conditions. On really windy days one of the first things I noticed was how I felt none of it coming through my torso. I can't say enough on how happy I am on this purchase despite the price I paid. My only gripe was that there were a couple loose threads on the arm cuffs.
I'm 6'3, 180lbs, with a 40in chest. The medium fits perfectly on my shoulders. It sits perfectly on my waist line. If you are planning on riding, or just prefer something less fitted to get more protection from weather, either size up or look for a different jacket made of something other than lamb, as it is not as strong as the other skins.
From the moment I put it on I knew this was going to be my go-to jacket. The quality of the leather is just unparalleled. You can notice it the second you look/smell/feel it. The fit is perfect and the break in period is minimal (though I imagine it will look and feel even better the more I wear it). In fact, the first day I put it on a random person on the street goes "awesome jacket!". Even without that unsolicited call out, this jacket is sweet. Don't hesitate, get it.
The Raven is a beautiful jacket. Superb quality and craftsmanship as you would expect from Schott.
I sent it back because I ordered a Large and the arms were too long, they exchanged it for a medium without a quest. Unfortunately I had to return it not because of the jacket, it was because I have an odd shape. I have 3 other Schott jackets and I love them. This will exceed your exceptions, it is sexy and sweet.
I bought the black version. I love the jacket, but I want to post a few things that I had questions about before buying one.
I’m 6’0 and around 220 lbs with broad shoulders and small gut. The XL fits me perfect. Like absolutely perfect. Not too tight, not loose, no movement restriction and zips up no issue.
The leather itself. Yes, it is lambskin but this is not that fashion jacket lambskin or that mall jacket lambskin. This is much thicker lambskin than I am used to, which results in a lighter-weight jacket than cowhide, but still a hefty jacket. The leather is silly soft and has a beautiful grain. The paisley lining adds a nice touch. All black hardware is another plus. I‘ll have this jacket for a long time, along with my Schott 530.
This is my first leather jacket, and I learned that buying a leather jacket takes patience and research. I wanted a jacket for style/fashion as I do not ride a motorcycle. This jacket gives you a biker style, but is much more toned down, which is what I was looking for. The lambskin vs thick heavy cowhide was also much more what I was looking for. Even though it is lambskin, you will still notice the leather is much thicker and higher quality than other lambskins leathers that I tried as well. I am 6'1 195lbs with a 43inch chest. The size large fits perfectly.
Just like all of my Schott jackets, this too is perfect and 5 stars is not enough. If you are on the fence about purchasing the Raven I hope that this review along with all of the others helps you make the decision to own this jacket.
Since this is made with lambskin it is buttery soft and conforming, it does not require a break in period like the other thicker hides. The cut, design and finish make this a truly versatile jacket that can be worn anywhere and you won't look out of place.
I'm 5'11, have longer arms, broad shoulders and a 32" waist. It's not easy to find something that fits and looks good but Schott always has something that is perfect.
This is my go to jacket for those Spring and Fall days when you don't need something too heavy.
You'll always get top quality, personalized service at Schott whether it's online or in the store but you should make it a point to go into a store, it's an unrivaled experience you won't forget.
Alright so some things are made by people who give a damn and you can feel it. If you want a lightweight leather that’s sleek but also tough, look no further. The Raven fits the bill and is worth the bills. Many body types will look good in one, from the skinny hipster in the pictures to a big shouldered biker dude. This thing actually flatters a fit physique like crazy and has the same tough outline as, say, a heavy Schott 613s—I know, because I own and love one of those too. But the light weight and the sleekness without all the hardware also mean that the Raven will work perfectly indoors with nice pants and a shirt. This jacket is awesome and it couldn’t be more versatile. I think the Raven is better made, nicer, and also looks better on most people than high end moto jackets costing three or four times as much. .
As to size, it runs surprisingly small, so believe the fit guide or just call Schott and let the expert and friendly people there size you up. I’m 5 9, 172 lbs, 42 inch chest, wear the large, and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
