My wife bought me the model 530 medium and being only 5’6” other than the shoulders and chest it was to big so I returned it. As the 530 wasn’t available in small until Feb. 28 I decided to try out the limited edition CAF1 in size small.
I love that jacket it fit great, the craftsmanship was beautiful, it was just too long for my height at 26” (as advertised) I measured it from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the jacket and it was more like 27.5” so I exchanged it for the 530 in small. Otherwise, a beautiful classic jacket.

Just amazing. Thick and heavy just like you would want on a bike. Maybe not for a summer ride, but certainly for three seasons. It's also stylish as well, but do yourself a favor and call customer service for the sizing information before you drop the cash. IMO the labeled sizes are one size larger from each category based on the standard size measurements. They probably can't change their size labels on this run for whatever reason, but be aware that in this style jacket the medium measures like a standard small, the large measures like a standard medium, and the extra large measures like a standard large. Disregard the "slim fit" in the description, it's a standard fit if it's anything. Hope this helps, but above all, when ordering online, know your measurements and call customer service to get the best fit... who wants to wait an extra week or two to correct a mistake the phone could have solved in a few minutes? Good jacket, size down.

I purchased Confederate Motorcycles horsehide jacket made by Schott and fit me like a glove love it! Quit smoking for 10 months gained weight so I need a bigger size jacket. Bought Shott CAF1 same design as CF1 Horsehide.. New CAF1 very sturdy but supple also very comfortable. Satisfaction guaranteed !

Nice jacket - but I ordered online before trying on. It runs at least a size too big. I ordered a large (I don't wear anything other than large or extra large in any garment) and it was hilariously big. I'm still going to give it 4 stars because - well - it's a nice jacket. I'm lucky enough that I'm about 20 minutes from a Schott retail location and I returned it and simply bought a (completely different) jacket in the right size - that I totally love. The lack of a star is simply for sizing in this style. Buy a size down. Trust me. They'll tell you the same at the store.

As advertised: Thick leather, excellent materials and workmanship (USA), Stiff but will eventually mold to your body, no hand pockets, Large fit me comfortably at 6ft 185 pd. Don't ride or plan to.

This jacket is fantastic and made solid to last (like all Schott products). I just received mine - unfortunately I need to exchange it as it does run a bit large - normally I wear a large in Schott leather jackets - but this one is a bit too roomy and I am going to try a medium (I am 6'1 and 180lbs). Maybe double check sizing before you order - or call to discuss ... But will definitely put in my order for the same jacket.

I love this new jacket. The leather is indeed thick and solid. The jacket is cut roomy for colder weather riding. The Lining is soft and warm. I look forward to having this one till the end. I will wear it on or off the bike. Don miss this one.
