Roughouts aren't for everyone and as such there aren't many choices out there. This baby is a good one. Classic basic design and quality crafted. This is a light to middle weight jacket which will be wearable from 40 deg. to perhaps 65 deg. The lined sleeves make it easy on and easy off and the unlined body make it very comfortable (forming to the body). The color is nice too...not too orangy and not to light in color. My advice: if in doubt about sizing...Size DOWN as these jacket run large. I'm not a small guy at 6 foot and 180 and the Medium is a perfect fit.
I think only Schott would characterize this jacket as being "lightweight".
It is a substantial jacket, and if you are like me, a first time Schott buyer, you will probably be pleasantly surprised by just how heavy this jacket is. The suede that it is made out of is unique; I have never seen it elsewhere. The jacket feels well made, and it fits ... well it fits as perfect as someone with short arms would expect it to fit.
I usually wear a 44R in suits, and a 16.5, 32/33 is dress shirts. The only fit guide recommended a size large, and it basically fit perfectly. The shoulders were right on, and the bottom of the jacket just closes about my lower waist. This jacket does not have bi-swing sleeves (it would be great if the next iteration of it does!), and so when I raise my arms to shoulder height and bend them, it feels tight about my upper shoulders. I expect this go gradually go away as the jacket starts conforming to my body.
Overall, a beautiful jacket. I would strongly recoomend.
Picked up the 375 and couldn’t be happier. This is my first Schott jacket and hopefully not the last. Sizing is perfect, shipping was fast and the jacket itself is incredible. Sturdy construction with great hardware and beautiful stitching. Love the sleeve liner material, silky soft and the leather smell. 5/5
I bought this jacket because I wanted a lighter option, my only other leather jacket is the Storm.
The design is almost the same as that one, but that one is hard to wear in temperatures above 50° because it's so warm. This one I can wear in temperatures up to about 70 or maybe 75 if there's a good breeze.
It's definitely not a lightweight jacket, it feels like it is very solidly constructed, but it's not too much for warm days.
It is suede and feels like it, it's a lot softer than I expected.
I've got to say if you want a leather jacket, Schott has impressed me above and beyond more than once now.
Have the 370 as well as this jacket; honestly this one is better . The lined sleeves make all the difference in the world as well as being a slightly softer and lighterweight feeling jacket; still quite substantial though. The leather is not oiled so that gives it a different texture. Both jackets are great I prefer this one. Fits true to size, not slim fit.
