We've teamed up with one of the highest regarded leather tanneries in the world for our new limited edition horsehide Perfecto(R) jacket. Shinki-Hikaku, based in Kobe, Japan, has been creating specialty horsehide since 1951 with a unique process that can take months. The leather has a rare texture and grain that is more pliable unlike the slick shiny horsehide you're used to seeing from us.
Our American made, P667H is an asymmetrical leather Perfecto(R) jacket with new features including an ergonomic fitted back panel with added cut lines to give the jacket a nice shape and flexibility. The belt is fully removable for maximum versatility. We added an additional lapel snap to allow you to zip our signature asymmetrical zipper all the way up and snap down the collar.
The 1.1-1.3 mm horsehide is vegetable tanned using casein protein and wax that give the leather a subtle glazed sheen and allows the unique grain to shine. This horsehide breaks in beautifully (and quickly) revealing a brown "teacore" center giving a rich depth that mimics the most perfectly vintaged jackets in our archives.

VERY VERY NICE JACKET!
This is my second Schott Shinki jacket and it’s beautiful. The large fits me perfectly, I’m 5’11” and weigh 150lbs, chest 42”. Sleeve length is correct, just past my wrist. Break-in will be minimal and I like the way the brown tea core comes through. The patina almost has a slight bronze shimmer to it. It’s a expensive jacket but I feel like the value is there with the leather and Schott workmanship. I do wish Schott would add a descriptive label in the jacket identifying the jacket as a limited edition Shinki horsehide. Other than that I’m very happy and look forward to the next limited edition jacket.

I was super bummed out when this jacket sold out before I could order one,, so when an opportunity came and an XL popped up I quickly grabbed it and man am I glad I did!!! This jacket is amazing!!! I’m telling you if this jacket pops up in your size get it because you will be kicking yourself for not pulling the trigger. The leather is awesome, exactly what you would expect from a Shinki-Hikaku leather!!! This is one of those jackets will definitely be a family heirloom!! I’ll be wearing this jacket every day and night!!! So happy that I got one!!!

Nic jacket, but I don’t understand why the cuffs are so large, as a motorcycle jacket it’s not so great having wind up the sleeves.

The special horsehide leather is fantastic. The fit and feel and quality of construction is typical Schott superb quality. I tried the L and XL, but decided to keep the XL since I prefer a looser comfortable fit which will allow layering underneath. I am 5’9 and 185 lbs. and I will use the jacket for riding as well as around town. The size L was snug on me and looks great but doesn’t allow as much mobility on the bike. I’m looking forward to many years of use so I don’t mind paying the premium price for this jacket.

Fit style and look of leather is unbelievable. It’s a must have. The leather very sexy and has a beautiful feel and look. The cut is perfect. Going to be a very enjoyable jacket to have in your collection. They did a great job with the cut and design to our favorite biker jacket. You going to be 100% Delighted with this model just as I am.
