This is the leather jacket of your dreams! I am a husky guy who likes to lift weights standing at 5'6 170lbs, and the medium fits perfectly. It's a head turning jacket that is constantly getting compliments. It's got a beautiful black finish that distresses into a beautiful natural leather brown color. It's like an improved version of the PER70! It's hands down the best jacket that I've ever owned in my entire life. Big shout out to Schott for making it all happen! Get this jacket! You won't regret it. Lastly, Schott has the best customer service that I've ever encountered in the retail industry.
AN ULTIMATE CLASSIC
I am honored to give this heavy duty work of art it's first review. This leather jacket is literally perfect in every single way. It's a very quiet jacket and it's not squeaky at all, so that's nice. It's very heavy duty and has a beautiful finish that the stresses into a beautiful natural leather brown color. The vintage liner on the inside is the icing on the cake. I can't say enough to stress how cool this jacket is. It's literally the perfect leather jacket and that's the only way I can describe it. This is the leather jacket of your dreams. Everything on it is made the last and it will easily last for an entire life time. Big shout out to Schott for making it all happen! The sizing is also spot on. I am a husky dude who likes to lift weights at the gym a lot. I am 5 6 and I weigh about 170 lb. The medium was the one that I went for and it fits like it was made for me. There's no need to size up or down with this one, but even if you do, they'll happily do that free of charge. Best customer service I've ever encountered in the retail industry.
A SHORT REVIEW OF THE P50VN
The P50VN is a heavy, well made jacket. The vintaging on mine is subtle, which I appreciate. The jacket has more of a brown hue to it, not the deep black you would find on a 'new' non vintaged Perfecto. It is a very high quality garment, as expected from Schott.
I am 6', 200 lbs with a 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist. Not muscular, just kinda tall and of average build. Per the size guide, I ordered a Large. Despite the fact that the jacket is listed as 'slim fit' on the website, I find that it is roomier in the chest than I expected it to be. It is a bit loose around the waist as well and has a straight, boxy cut. No tapering going on at all as far as I can tell. The arm length is perfect when reaching for handlebars, however. It is a fine motorcycle jacket, and I am satisfied with the purchase.
My guess is that this jacket and its brother the PER70 (they have the same measurements according to Schott) tend to run a bit large, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a tight fitting Perfecto. Finally, I just want to add that it would nice if Schott would add a 2 way zipper to these. The 26 inch length tends to cause bunching in the front when seated on the bike.
