SCHOTT PER50
After trying on several Perfecto models I decided on the Per50. This jacket fits my body perfect with all the dimensions. The jacket is very heavy and stiff but after wearing it a few times it has started to crease in the sleeves and mold to my body. This jacket is a teacore so overtime with wear and tear it will start to turn brown. The build quality is top notch but I already knew to expect that from a Schott jacket. I am very happy with my purchase!
HEAVYWEIGHT PERFECTO
I can only agree with the former reviews. I am an ethusiastic motocyclist or for leasure time, this jacket is by far the most robust and heaviest I have ever purchased. I also own the Horsehide 618 which is already a very cool jacket.
This one I ordered in size XL. So far I only wear t-shirts below however its getting colder here, so I am curious how it is with thick sweaters. The price of the Jacket is worth purchasing it. Once worn for a certain time I am sure it will really look even greater. Thanks SCHOTT and please continue with new ideas
NOT QUITE AS PICTURED ON THE WEBSITE
Upfront, Schott usually has great products. Last year I purchased a PER62. I just received the heavier weight PER50. The photos of the PER50 on the Schott website make it look like the PER62 which is a deep shiny black. The Per50 that I received is a dull waxy black. It also has distinctive plastic smell to it. Not the leather smell of the PER62. That is why I am rating it at 3 stars. Aesthetics. It is not quite what is shown and the smell is a bit overwhelming. B/c I need the heavier weight, I will break this one in and hope the smell fades but I am very disappointed with the dull waxy color. I double checked the tag to make sure Schott sent the correct jacket. Aside for this, it is a quality jacket. I do not have access to store locations that carry Schott. If you have access, look at the jacket in a retailer before buying so you know exactly what you are getting.
AN AWESOME AMERICAN COOL JACKET !
I recently added this jacket to my rapidly expanding collection of Schott leathers, and I absolutely LOVE it ! I'm about 5-8, 185lbs. and ordered a size 44 which fits perfectly for me. It will take a lot of wearing to break this bad boy in as it is very stiff out of the box. I like the buckle snap...I think all the Schott half-belt Perfectos should have this feature as standard. I also want to take a second to give a shout out to Jason and the entire staff at Schott for an awesome line of jackets. The hand craftsmanship and excellent workmanship deserve special mention. Thank you for a wonderful product, and I will be back for more!
PER50 HEAVYWEIGHT FITTED PERFECTO JACKET
Schott knows how to get me every time, with emails announcing new products, my last purchase after watching "The Bikeriders " film.
My most recent purchase was the heavyweight fitted Pefecto jacket (PER50). What an amazing jacket to add to my collection. The fit on this is perfect for me. I am a fit guy, 6'3", 205lbs, and bought a 46 based in the calculator. It is a snug fit across the shoulders, chest and waist, but feels really good. And the arm length is perfect, hitting me just above your hands. I love the fit and know it will only get better as it breaks in.
As for breaking in, this will take some time. This may be the thickest leather of any jacket I own. The leather is amazing, beautiful finish and a nice gloss that I know will look amazing the longer I wear it.
