CLASSIC PERFECTO 118
It´s beautful and the size is perfect.
Many thanks too Gail who helpt mee whith size and a very fast delivery.
I am really impressed with the qaulity of the jacket. Every time I wear it, it keeps on getting better. I could not have found a better jacket for my motorcylcing. I am very happy.
VERY NICE LEATHER, VERY STRANGE CUT
I had to chose the 118L since all the other jackets were way too short for me (185cm). The quality of the leather and the workmanship are both perfect, however I am very disappointed by the fit. It fits good at the waist, then it expands extremely around the belly, just to fit at the shoulders again. Its like the jacket was meant for people with a beer gut.
The arms are way too wide at the end, I can't get my glove above the jacket and therefore the wind blows in.
I guess that I would've been way happier with a perfecto that was cut the classic, thight way - like the 618 or 613. Its a real shame that there isn't a tight fit, classic perfecto for taller people.
SIMPLY? GREAT JACKET!
I had few jackets in my life but this was my 1-st Schott. I checked it thoroughly right after I received it together with a person who has a good portion of knowledge in leather and opinion was same - it's VERY well made jacket! I don't have to mention that it fits perfectly. It's great that there still are companies like these, making their products in US.
I can definitely recommend it to anyone.
A JACKET FOR ANY PURPOSE!
Thank you Schott, for having invented the perfect jacket for motorcycling, rock and fluff! This jacket should be in museums so this is an exceptional piece!
If you want to carry a true legend on your shoulders, this jacket is for you! Don't rush with the sizing, contact Gail and get support before you choose your size and once you got it right, buy this jacket with closed eyes... You won't regret!!!
CLASSIC PERFECTO IS A PERFECTO!
I absolutely love this jacket! Thanks to Jerri I was able to correctly determine what size I wanted. It fits exactly as I had hoped. Love the buttery feel of the leather, love the weight of the jacket. Totally LOVE this jacket!
'PERFECTO' - THE NAME SAYS IT ALL
As anyone reading this review should know, Schott is renowned for their quality. Being my first Schott jacket, my expectations were sky-high. Once ordered, the jacket arrived lightning fast. Even though I was expecting a very high quality jacket, I was blown away by what I received. I’ve been looking very closely at other rider’s jackets for years, taking careful note of the different brands and my perception of their quality. My conclusion is that you can pay more (way more) and still not get a jacket as nice as this one. If you think you can get something almost as nice for a fraction of the price, think again.
‘Perfecto’ is the right name for this jacket. The leather is heavy, but feels broken-in right out of the box. The ‘naked leather’ is absolutely stunning. To me, it gives the jacket a natural worn-in look from day one. The lack of seams is a dead giveaway of the quality of the construction.
This jacket is not ‘pieced together’, but made from large panels. I have a HD jacket that looks like a quilt by comparison.
The attention to detail epitomizes ‘Proudly Made in the USA’. You won’t find this quality in jackets out-sourced overseas. This is a complex jacket to make, with many exacting details—all of which were perfect. With all due respect to a few very well made jackets from Europe, the ‘Perfecto’ is a true work of art, but still within reach of a working class rider—no matter where in the world you live.
Don’t waste your hard-earned money on ‘cheap’ imports. The price of this jacket belies the value. If you want a jacket you’ll love to wear for the rest of your life, make the investment. You won’t be disappointed. There’s a good reason ‘used’ Schott jackets don’t come cheap.
In terms of fit, at 6’2”, the long seemed to be the logical choice. Gail did go into detail about how everyone is unique, and in my case I guess my legs are on the long side, and my torso correspondingly short. If it wasn’t going to be my primary riding jacket, the length was perfect. Unfortunately, while sitting on my bike, it would push up, resulting in the ‘belly bulge’ I get with my HD jacket. Being relatively thin by today’s standards at 185 lbs., the ‘modern’ cut was a bit too generous. Not to worry—Schott stands behind their products, and offers superb customer support and service. Yet another reason to buy American.
YEARS OF SERVICE
I bought mine in 1998, still have it, looks great. It has aged well and have no problems with any hardware. Still looks and feels great
GIVE IT A SCHOTT
Everything that I've read and heard about Schott jackets is true.
I always wanted a Schott jacket, but, having several other leather jackets, how do I justify another jacket?
I told my girlfriend that I wanted a motorcycle jacket that had no armor in it.
This jacket is the most comfortable well-made leather jacket I have ever owned. I'm six feet tall, and actually ride a Harley, so I called Gail and asked her for size recommendations. I got a long Perfecto and it fits me perfectly.
The leather is thick but smooth, it keeps me warm in the Winter. It's comfortable right out of the box, you don't need to break it in. Best $500 I've ever spent.
I work at a Harley dealership. We see people in leather jackets everyday. But everyone who sees this jacket asks me about it. They can tell it's the real deal.
Don't hesistate to buy one. And like a Harley, it's made right here in the USA. I love putting money into our economy right here at home.
MY FIRST PERFECTO
This is my first mortorcycle jacket. I can't begin to tell you how cool it is. I went on your guys website and had no clue which one to buy. I called Gayle and she asked a few questions and directed me to the PERFECT one. So easy. What a great experience. My new 118 L and I thank you. This jacket will work out great in our new home in Amsterdam...
