be the first to hear about exclusive first-looks, super secret sales,
This was my first Schott.
My father had just passed away after a long and storied life and I was having a tough time. I guess in times of grief retail therapy can really help.
I had always wanted a Perfecto motorcycle jacket, but always felt the might look "too young" for me.
The PER22 was perfect. It is cut a little longer than the original motos, the hardware isn't too shiny (and is bronze colored) and the leather has a matte finish. It was just what I was looking for and is of the highest quality and construction.
The version that I got was steerhide, not buffalo, but I am sure they are both good.
I think of my father every time I wear it and I expect to have this jacket forever
The lineage of this company is a legend in American manufacturing. They have withstood the test of time, more then 130 years, two world wars, the great depression, foreign and domestic competition. I am proud to own such a hallmark of American history!
Well made, fair priced American Classic that has stood the test of time. Proud to own a jacket of this quality and heritage.
If you collect perfecto jackets like me this is for the collection - very nice riding jacket very warm and heavy jacket will make you feel safe when in the road
With so many overpriced fashion brand leather double riders out there, it's nice to see one that represents a great value for the price. This is my 4th leather purchase from Schott, and in my opinion, they make the best double rider out there, regardless of price. Very flattering cut, and not too short, which has always been the deal-breaker for me. The lining is a great touch (the color perfectly complements the exterior), and the hardware looks superb. I want to say this fits almost TTS, but being between a 38R and a 40R, I sized down to a S and it fits perfectly. If you have any uncertainty though, call their customer service team, since they've always been very helpful whenever I've had questions.
I am a picky and frugal shopper. After searchng for jackets of this type for over one year I took a leap of faith and purchased a 2XL Per22; and it is absolutely amazing fantastic beautiful awesome! Having only imitations my whole life...then to receive The Original Schott...only to discover every facet of quality, craftsmanship, and style that I had been missing for decades, that had been lacking in the cheap imitations... I am speechless. I literally inspected every seam with a LED (I was so nervous to make a big first purchase online without ever having experienced Schott products) - the craftsmanship and quality they bear is just absolutely second to none. I am blown away! A gorgeous piece.
A special “Thanks!” goes to the Schott customer service personnel for taking the time to communicate with me on sizing and options. My Per22 is a perfect fit.
I wanted something beyond the standard hotness that is a classic Perfecto model, and this is it. Heavy, The jacket is a good heavy weight. The brass half-belt is cool for sure (I'd love to have had a full belt I could remove, but beggars can't be...), and the brass hardware makes this jacket pop, adds to the vintage vibe. }If I had to pick a point, Id say the lining. Its a thin satin-like material. It will probably hold up for a few years, but I would have paid more for something more substantial. That said, its a great piece. It stands out even in the Schott lineup. Its retro, kinda rare (apparently, its a reissue of a modern era jacket, but there are pics online of something older but similar), and a substantial piece. Get some!
I ordered the PER22 this week, and it only took two days to get to my doorstep! This is a beautiful and extremely well made jacket. I proudly own a 626, but it's too fitted to ride with. The PER22 will be perfect. I'm 5'7", 152 lbs, and normally wear somewhere in between a 36-38 chest with a 32 waist; I ordered the PER22 in a Small. It's snug across the chest, but not too snug. It's a great length for me, with plenty of movement in the shoulders. The sleeves are just long enough so that they will not creep up too much when grabbing onto my handlebars. The leather is thick, and very soft. (Note: the online description says the jacket is cowhide, but the tag on my jacket says steerhide.) All in all, this is a wonderful jacket for riding, but is practical enough to wear anywhere.
