This wool jacket with leather sleeves and sheepskin collar is terrific. I got the red one to match my Road King, which sounds kinda’ dorky but I don’t care. As one reviewer said, this is like a cross between a bomber and a varsity jacket. But unlike other reviewers I didn’t feel the need to size up. I went with the fit guide, which has yet to let me down. At 6’0”, 225 pounds, with a 46” chest, no belly, and an athletic build, I fit in the XL (which was the only size available above Small). Most of my Schott leather jackets are sized up (to 48) and they’re still a bit tight across the chest and in the arms, but this jacket is not.
I expect the leather sleeves will break in and hang beautifully. The only suggestion I might make would be to make the sheepskin collar removable, like on my 183SM Four-In-One A-2 Flight Jacket and my 118 Perfecto. If they did this the jacket could be worn in milder weather.
Exactly what I was looking for and a great price at the discounted rate. I sized up to an xl amd it fits great. I can layer it or wear it w just a t shirt. High quality. A+
I normally wear an XL. Most of the reviews suggested to size up. I purchased a XXL , which fits perfectly. An XL would have been to small. Definitely size up! Great looking jacket! Much better in person!
Thisi is the one what I really want to buy!
Best jacket ever!
When first opening the box I had to put my knife to work because of how well it was taped. I was happy to see the item was neatly packed, protected with plastic, included a hanger, stickers, and a thank you note. The fur collar is very soft, the wool has a great texture, and the leather arms felt smooth. The grey and black jacket looks the same in photos as it does in person. If someone wants a better idea of how the jacket looks, go to Nordstrom's website because they have more photos and the model is wearing a white shirt.

When it comes to anything that is labeled "fitted"", "slim fit", or "tailored", I typically size up from a large to an XL. I completed the size guide and listed my biometrics as: Age (27) Weight (190 ib.) Height (5'6) Chest (43 inches). The website recommend that a large would be a standard fit for me, but seeing that this is considered a fitted jacket, I disregarded and went with an XL. I am glad I went with an XL because the chest area has just enough room, the length of the jacket sits right at the hips, but unfortunately, I had to take a hit on having the sleeves a bit longer than I would have liked. Not a big deal for me because I typically have to get all of my cloths tailored, especially at the sleeves. Being that this jacket is on sale, I still save money even with the additional cost of alterations.
Layering for me in this jacket in XL is no hassle. I can wear a sweater, a heavy weighted thick crew neck/henley long sleeve, and a hoodie. I have only recieved one compliment out of the three times I have worn this jacket, so not too bad considering that I'm rarely complimented on my clothing. I feel confident and warm when I am wearing this. I typically wear dark washed denim jeans, a flannel or crew neck shirt, black hat, and some dark natural grey chelsea boots I got from Helm boots, or just some plain white converse tennis shoes.
This is the first jacket I have purchased from Schott NYC and I will say that their reputation is not over exaggerated. I appreciate the quality and the attention to detail on the product i have received. I would recommend this jacket for someone who wants wool but also wants leather with a shearling collar. The price comparison of other high quality wool bombers such as one I saw on Allen Edmond's website (if you still consider them as quality), the Theo jacket from Mackage, the Biella Navy Wool Shearling Collar Flight Jacket from Proper Cloth, and a few other wool bombers on Division Road INC just seemed way over priced when compared to this jacket being on sale and featuring leather. I think the price for this jacket is exactly where it needs to be. $600 plus, yeah I'm some what interested, but $325 made it a must buy for me and I am glad I waited those extra months for this sale.
If your still on the fence about this product, then keep thinking about it. As of now in March of 2021, I don't think this jacket is going anywhere to be honest, and plus summer is around the corner. This model seems to be among the less popular options from Schott and hopefully no one does buy this so the price could potentially go down even more so I can buy the brown and green one. As of now, I couldn't find a single YouTube video on this jacket as well. I think $325 is still a good deal for this item. What I would like to see from Schott NYC is more photos of people actually wearing this jacket like how they do on Nordstrom's website and a quick overview video would also be a nice touch as well.
Hopefully this review helps, I didn't see an options to upload photos so you can blame Schott for that.
Been looking at Schott jackets for some time now and saw this beautiful bomber style jacket online and decided to jump on the price. Wow did I ever make the right call this thing is even more attractive in person the attention to detail the quality of this jacket is next level. I’m normally a large took advice and sized up to xl this thing fits like a glove just perfect!!! Beautiful jacket awesome quality THANK YOU !!!
I bought both the olive and charcoal versions. The olive version looks A LOT better in person than the pictures on the Schott website. The other reviewers were right regarding sizing—order 1 size larger than usual. I normally wear a 44R sport coat and anywhere from L to XL in jacket size depending on the brand. I chose an XL and it fits amazingly! The fur collar is a great touch to keep me warm when I walk my dog in low 40 temps. Anything colder, you’d better add layers or get a B-3 or ANJ-4.
I'm very happy with the jacket. It's a cross between a bomber and a varsity jacket. It works well. Since the body is wool, the jacket as a whole is lighter and less stiff than an entirely cowhide jacket. Plus it's cheaper. Not a priority necessarily, but certainly a plus.
It fits great. Definitely have to order a size up. Warm, but not a substitute for a parka or shearling for the bitter cold. But not as bulky and still comfortable if the weather turns a little warm.
The materials and finish are top notch. Impressed with the company for sure
In my honest opinion, this is a prime example of the saying, "you get what you pay for." The quality on this jacket is impeccable. The sheepskin collar is incredibly soft and the leather sleeves are buttery smooth. In my first testing of the jacket in 32 degree weather, it kept me warm and looks very stylish. As many reviewers have stated before, it does fit small (slim fit if you will) so if you prefer a more true to size fit, I would opt for a size up.
A very nice, well made jacket, with great looking style and color (I ordered olive/brown jacket). As others stated, the jacket runs tight/small. I am 5’ 10.5’’, 200 lbs, with 48’’ chest. I ordered 2XL per the sizing guide and the jacket is snug around the chest and arms. This is my first Schott jacket and I am tempted to order another (aviator style).
