Why not more Schott Horsehide

I love Schott jackets but have noticed very few styles come in Horsehide other than a very few black models. There are many beautiful veg tanned horsehide leathers that other companies use in many colors: Vicenza, Shinki Hikaku, Horween and others I am sure I am not aware of. 
Why aren't these leathers used more frequently by Schott for their excellent jackets?
