Vintage jacket

Hi, I recently purchased a vintage perfecto jacket for my son. The coloring is off. Claimed to be black and is definitely grey. Never worn and not creased. Lot 48, Bundle 008, style 618. I am wondering if this is a defect and what year it is from? Thank yiu.
