Unbelievable Luck
I had a Schott flight jacket years ago, and it kept me warm through some nine Bavarian winters before being stolen. Last Sunday I was at a fleamarket when I saw a leather jacket on one of the tables which looked familiar. Sure enough it was a Schott flight jacket in my size, just like the one I had before. When I picked it up I noticed it was very stiff, and had evidently never been worn as all tags were still attached. I purchased it and at home treated the leather with leather balm. It softened up very nicely and fit like a glove. I was very happy to get it even though I will have few days to wear it here in Florida during the year. I also still have a Schott wool peacoat. Oh, yes, I paid the vendor $15 for the jacket!
