I was unable to open the link you posted. I am working from my Ipad while on vacation, so that may be the reason. All women's jackets will have a "W" after the style number example: 618W. Do you have a photo of the white pocket ticket which will confirm the style number. If the ticket has a barcode then the year it was produced can be confirmed.

Based on the pocket ticket the jacket is the Women's Cowhide style #517W. I see on the front od the jacket above the pocket is a small Schott logo label which we used on our jackets in 1983 & 1984. The Cream color main Schott label was also used at that time in our jackets, also prior to 1993 the pocket ticket did not have a barcode number on it, only the info as is on this ticket. In the 80's the motorcycle jacket became a fashion item and Schott wanted to offer a less expensive made in the USA jacket when the market was flooded with imports. While the leather is not the Steerhide or Naked Cowhide leather then used in our Perfecto M/C jackets all other materials and workmanship were the same. Based on the age of the jacket this size 10 would have a closer ft to a size 8 in today's sizing for women.

Thank you Gail!  What kind of leather was used, I wonder?

The jacket is a genuine cowhide leather, but not a Naked Cowhide or a Steerhide Grade A/B hides. Hides that are Grade A/B are used in our Perfecto line and are very clean hides free from scarring & tick marks. These hides are much more expensive. Hides that have scarring and tick marks are finished differently at the tannery to hide these markings, sometimes by using a pebbled print on the hide, which does not compromise the leather, just hides the markings. The weight and durability will be the same, as you can see this jacket is 35 years old and is still in great shape.
