I believe you have the plaid wool rancher 759P jacket that has the acrylic pile sherpa lining. Please note the lining in this jacket is not a genuine sheepkin. I know scotchguard is suppose to help in resisting staining, I do not think it is water resistant. As with any wool it is not water repellent and if you do get caught in a shower you will need to let it air dry fully. You may want to purchase a poncho when riding so you can get protection from the rain if you should get caught in a storm. Gail

Thank you for that. Its actually the discontinued red and black plaid with genuine sheepskin lining and faux pockets. Ive got a chance to buy a BNWT one that the guy sayshehas never worn. The poncho is actually a great idea....thanks!

Just for your own information we never used a genuine sheepskin lining in a wool jacket for lining, only our acrylic pile lining. Gail
