Schott 298 ID/INFO REQUEST

I just purchased a reasonably priced vintage three-button lambskin Schott 298 (size L) New With Tags that the seller purchased at a liquidation sale.

The coat/jacket is of very fine quality and shows no signs of wear, as one would expect of NWT, but it is just a bit too large for me in the shoulders - I’m a 42/43 and I would say this fits like a 44.

Anyway, I am now considering selling this jacket but would like to know more about its history, sourcing, manufacture date, etc in order to better present the jacket.

Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Patrick Mahoney

Look for a made in the USA label, this looks like to be a European model not made by Schott in America

Thanks, I did confirm with Schott Customer Service that the 298 was made under Schott license to their standards.  CS suggested that I try here on the Forum to get more information (ie date of manufacture, where sold, etc).
