Please help me with a Date on my B-3 bomber

Could someone please help me with dating my jacket. also any idea on how to restore this jacket. the zipper pull is missing. also the leather is very worn in. Should I restore it? or would that hurt the collectable value of the jacket? Thanks for any info.

I believe you are the same consumer that sent a photo of the label to our website customer service to inquire about the age of your jacket. As I explained in my email to you yesterday this label has been used in all our Sheepskin B-3 jackets since the style was introduced into our line in 1981. In reference to reconditioning the leather. The leatherized sheepskin used in this jacket is suppose to lighten and become more distressed with wear. This jacket is based on the air force RAF jackets worn in WWII. This type of leatherized sheepskin was used to produce a replica of this jacket with the aged and worn look of a jacket from the WWII era. This jacket has acheived that look and only enhances the jacket's appeal. Yesterday since you only emailed me a photo of the label, which appeared in very good condition and the interior seemed very clean I though it maybe a fairly new jacket. Now seeing the photo of the complete jacket, though I still cannot give you a date, it could be a older jacket based on the broken in condition of the leather. Gail
