Perfecto: Patches? Or no patches?

Just wanted to get others opinions.  Thinking of adding a few patches to the sleeves only (nothing crazy).  Took this pic to convey my idea.  Searching for opinions - keep it clean?  Or patches?

It is really is a personal decision, patches make it your own, kind of like a tattoo it's a personal think.

Personally, I have one Perfecto that I keep free of patches and one older one that I'll be adding patches to and perhaps painting.  There are times when I want to rock a clean look and other times I want something a bit louder.

What Gail said, patches would certainly make it your own jacket which can only be a good thing. I think they make the Perfecto look even cooler. If you know which patches you'd like to have on your jacket, I'd say go for it.

Don't put any patches on it if you ever plan on selling or trading it , it would certainly devalue the jacket .

Patches are usually done during production...I have an old cop jacket that had patches which were removed so the jacket could be sold...the needle holes are not that noticeable but also not a great look.  Putting them on the sleeve looks cool...I would use a medium tack contact cement that will keep them on but would also allow for their removal.  Tape off the jacket so the cement does not get sloppy and give it a go.  See if this works before adding needle holes to your jacket.

Thank you all for your feedback!  I already had it tailored to fit ($$$), so selling isn't likely.  And, now that it fits like a glove, I love it even more!  Didn't want to be hasty adding patches (though I do like the look); figured receiving others' comments would at least give me additional perspective to reflect upon before pulling the trigger.

Thanks again.  Still welcome any additional advice/recommendations others may have. WOLVERINE, appreciate the cement idea!
