The style P663 is generically a slim fit relavtive to the perfecto styling. The skin is a pull-up type leather which will not wrinkle in creases or scratch like the horsehide leather. It has a waxy finish which shows light and dark according to stretching/folding with wear.

Horween Chromexel will absolutley show creases and wear faster than regular chrome tanned leather. But that's

the whole point of it. You will see patina develop quickly. And the wrinkles you're talking about are sought after by most people that wear leather jackets.

Are Schott jackets chrome tanned? I thought drum dyed meant vegetable tanned?

Please don't confuse dyeing process the way color is applied with tanning process. Tanning is the process which preserves the skin Turing it into leather. Vegetable or Chrome tanning describes different types of treatments. Vegetable tanning generally produces a stiffer leather.

Thanks Gail. So Schott jackets are all chrome tanned (and not vegetable tanned)?

No, Depending on the desired end use/effect, we use all variations of tanning.
