No Flag Tag !!!!!!!!

When and more importantly WHY did Schott get rid of the American flag tag?!?!!?? I can't believe it is gone. And sadly replaced with a tag that reads "made of USA and imported materials" This is VERY disapointing!!

It is not gone, i believe some have have it and some don't depending on the style

Look at the 618hh. They have an old picture on top with the flag. As you scroll down, they have a strategic pic with the coat hanger covering the disgraceful tag. Not very honest marketing by Schott. All this talk and hype about being an American icon and thier hangtags say American original. What BS. Why use imported materials. Don't be another sell out Schott!!

I know that the HH they are using is imported from Italy, no idea if other hydes are also imported

A lot of makers are using italian HH, it is known to be pretty good

Here is what i was looking for, Gail said in 2018 :

Unfortunately most materials being used in any manufacturing of clothing are imported. To answer your question our Horsehide is from Italy, and we have also purchased horsehide fro Horween leather in the USA for special styles. Horween has been around for many years but Horsehide is limited in the US so they are limited to quanties they can sell to us. Horses are not breed for eating such as cows and steers so hides are not plentiful. Other materials such as linings and trim products are no longer produced in the US, the US factories have moved to other countries to produce at a lesser cost. As we all no manufacturing has left the US, but thankfully Schott still produces many styles in the USA, even though we have no choice but to use imported materials.

The description has magicaly disappeared for the 618hh, but if you look under the 613sh which is horsehide. It says that they use U.S. sourced drum-dyed horsehide. My 2017 618hh has the flag. I am really disapointed they removed the flag. They need to cut all the "Americana" hype if they have to buy materials and hardware from China and Mexico. Schott needs to STAY American. That flag tag means a lot on thier Perfecto motorcycle jackets.
