Leather Puffer Vest

I'm originally from Russia, but I live in Dublin, Ireland for the past 6+ years (so I'm Russian as the brothers who found Schott). During summer 2003 I ordered Schott down Jacket and still I refer to it as the best buy I've ever made. It's warm (was visiting Moscow during winter 2004 and it was -29 C (that's -20 F), it's soft. The jacket was made without any glitch. My wife likes it too. So I decided to order leather pants from Schott. And they're great too! Were too squeaky at first but now they're fine. Bit heavy but I don't mind. The only downside of these purchases was the customs tax. For the 400 USD jacket, I spent 650 euro (but still I know that I found the same jacket cost 1000 euro in Denmark).

Well, I'm here to suggest one thing: if you have a leather puffer why not to create a leather puffer vest (same jacket but without the sleeves). And it's fashionable. Make several color options as well! Cheers!

Thank you for taking the time to post your message with us. As always we are glad to hear when our customers are satisfied with their purchase. We do understand the down side in paying the Custom's Tax, but unfortunately every country has this tax and we all have to pay. Lets just hope no one thinks up a new tax for something.

We do appreciate your suggestion on a Down vest, and we actually did offer a Leather Down vest in the 1980's. It was a very popular item for several years, but as the fashion trend changed we discontinued the vest. But who knows all styles come arround again every few years and maybe someday we will offer the vest again. Please check our website periodically for new styles, any questions just drop us a email.  Gail

I bought one of those leather down vests on Ebay. An excellent vest, well made and designed. The good thing about it is it's a numbered size (40), not a medium. I prefer numbers, since I know I am a size 40 in all the jackets. If you like, I can send you a few pictures.
