...And Yet Another Brando/The Wild One Thread
From what I can gather, the jacket worn by Marlon Brando in The Wild One was a Schott Perfecto One Star, model #618 in black steerhide in 1.2 to 1.4mm thick 3-ounce leather. I just won a Schott Perfecto on eBay, and I would like to replicate 'The Wild One' jacket as much as possible.
First off, the stars on the epaulettes are needed. Can anyone tell what other mods may be necessary?
Next, my jacket will be shipped with no buckle (since it is missing.) Is anyone aware of a place I could get a nice reproduction of the film buckle?
Finally, the B.R.M.C. paint on the back will need to be replicated. We all know that this means the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, but unfortunately a rock band swiped the name and has pretty much monopolized the Google search. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can have this art added to my jacket.
I am looking for some 'The Wild Ones' experts with a good set of eyes for my site as well that can help identify some of the nuances for replicating this jacket.
Thanks in advance.
