Leather feeling extra mushy and wrinkled. How can I fit it?

Recently purchased a leather jacket but noticed the bottom of the jacket is looking wrinkled and mushy. How can I fix this issue and what caused it?

Hello! I guess that's a 519 perfecto, which leather is soft and supple "waxed cowhide"... not exactly "mushy" but that's the feel you can perceive on it. Cool jacket, one of the best IMHO.

It's actually the 530 the upper of the jacket is smooth the the bottom half has turned like this

Yeah, same waxed pebbled type of leather as the 519. I own one, and the leather looks kind of smooth and shiny on the back, but pebbled and wrinkly on the front and the sleeves as well... I don't know if that helps, maybe something is not right.

Best.

Thanks for the response, it's good to know it probably just the way the leather was

The skins on some Schott jackets vary in thickness. That is normal IMO.

Sweet good to know, I thought something might have been done to the jacket
