This was our style #523 in the pebbled cowhide leather. We produced this jacket from 1996 - 2001. Gail

Thank you Gail for your info-  I just purchased the coat and am very excited,  I will be receiving it in the next week or so.  When I get it, I may have to clean it, what product do you recomend cleaning/conditioning it with?  In the past I have always used Lexol on all of my leather products and have been very pleased, but I would like to know if there is anything that might be better.

BTW-  This is the second Schott in the family, mi wife has a older Perfecto with an an American Flag on the back-  It is a great jacket and is what prompted me to get this one.

I personally feel any used jacket should be professionally cleaned as somebody elses dirt & sweat is not your own dirt & sweat in the jacket. All leathers should be professionally cleaned every few years depending on wear this prevents the dirt and sweat from deteriorating the lining and stitching in a jacket. A lining in a jacket is no different than a shirt you would wear and not wash. On leathers Lexol is a good product, we also recommend saddle soap and mink oil for spareingly for conditioning. Aleays test any product befor applying as they can causing shading, spotting or darkening of the leather. Gail
