Difference in Leather- 118 vs. 1928

Gail,

I found a schott dealer in my area and was able to compare the 1928 with my 118.  On the website it says they are both naked cowhide but they have a much different look and feel.  I'm partial to the 118 leather and I am curious what the difference is.

Thanks.

Both jackets are in the naked cowhide, which means there is no finish applied to the leather, the leather is drummed dyed only. Leather is finished one hide/skin at a time, and all this leather must be matched before a jacket can be made. Leather is not a man man product thus every skin is different. Because the skins do vary they may appear differently when comparing the jackets. Gail
