Custom Order Delays
Hello fellow Schott Community Members (and Schott's wonderfully pleasent staff),
I have a question that I wanted to post to the group. Back in November of 2018, I filled out a custom form for a very basic custom Schott jacket: It's essentially a heavyweight black natural cowhide in the P571 style -- or in other words -- I want a P571 Mission Black in really heavy natural cowhide leather).
I have contacted Schott several times since then, and the nice people there at Schott have done their best to help me with the process. The problem--as I understand it--is that Schott has a team of people who work on the custom orders, and those people are not always accepting orders. I have been patient over the past 15 months because I love Schott jackets. I have owned over 15 of them. I'm starting to get really discounraged that I may NEVER have my dream jacket. Last thing I want to do is go to some other company that makes custom leather jackets.
To make a long story short(ish), it's been well over a year since I put in my custom order and I feel as though I am no closer now (than I was then) to having my dream jacket made.
Is anyone else having this same problem? Am I doomed to remain in "custom-leather-jacket-purgatory" for another 15 months?
