Care and Maintenance for a 619MP

I just scored a sick 619MP used from another forum member. It was hardly worn at all and looks it, but is a hand oiled leather from 2013 or so at the same time. Aside from a nice leather lotion to keep it moisturized once in a while what else would be dank for it?

Most jackets do not need a lot of conditioning if the jacket does not see everyday use of hard wear, such as riding in the jacket it all types of weather. Caring for any leather leather jacket is really basic, depending on wear have the jacket professionally cleaned and condition. While you can remove light dirt from the leather with Saddle Soap, you also need to remove dirt & sweat from the linings to avoid deterioration of lining and stitching. Never cover the jacket with plastic when storing and store in a cool place when the weather is hot. Never apply a water repellent product to the jacket, as this will seal the pores, and cause the natural oils to dry out and cause dry rot of the leather. Always use all natural products on leather, we recommend the Otter Wax products. The products in the kit will keep the leather in good condition, the boot wax in the kit is only for boots as it contains a sealant. On our site under acessories you can purchase the kit or Saddle Soap & oil separately.
