PLEASE BURY ME

BURY ME IN MY
LEATHER JACKET,
JEANS AND MOTOR
CYCLE BOOTS.
GOODBYE"
- Sid Vicious (Punk Icon, 1957-1979)
Bring out the attitude with this vintaged version of the 618 Perfecto motorcycle jacket. This edition has copper plated hardware, Riri zippers, and a cotton lining, which will not be the skull lining as shown in the jacket photo. The swatch of the lining in displayed in a separate photo. Like the original, it has the single star epaulet and belted front. How a leather jacket is broken in tells a story, and this jacket tells the Schott NYC story, rooting back from 1913 to Marlon Brando to today, with a vintage that makes this jacket ready to wear and comfortable from day one. It will feel like you have worn it for years. This limited edition will be shipped in a commemorative "Perfecto" box just like the first motorcycle jacket we produced in 1928. Union Made in the U.S.A by LOCAL 169 of WORKERS UNITED A/W SEIU.
This jacket has been brought back due to popular demand! Please note the new lining (Brown) will be in this new production, to keep each production limited.
Almost perfect
As all the other reviewers have previously stated, this is a gorgeous and well fitting jacket. It's well worth the price.
There is one glaring flaw in the jacket's design in my opinion.
The sleeve zippers are not backed by a leather insert. If you're riding in warm weather there is nothing to keep the sleeve from flapping - rather violently if you're at highway speed.
When you're not riding and want the comfort of a looser open sleeve, this design looks really bad when the zippers are open.
So, keep the sleeves zipped all the time.
In my opinion if Schott adds two triangles of leather in the sleeves, they'll have perfected the nicest jacket they offer now.
Oh, this is now my 7th Schott jacket. Yes, I'm a huge fan of their stuff.

This is a great jacket!
This jacket looks great on the web site, but looks much better in person. This is the most comfortable leather jacket I have ever worn. I have nothing bad to say about it. It is definitely worth purchasing. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a high quality jacket that looks amazing and will last a lifetime. Also, the customer service department at Schott is the best I've ever dealt with on the internet. From the time I placed the order until I received it, I always knew the status. They were top-notch, always friendly and professional.

Took Forever!
My boyfriend searched online for hours for a new riding jacket and finally found this one, so placed his order right away... that was 6/18/09. It was finally delivered two months later. We did inquire more than once via email what was taking so long, and the company responded promptly each time. They explained the whole process of how the material was sent out to be "vintaged", then cut, then assembled. It was well worth the wait... he loves it. The sizing is right on. The only detail he would do without is the metal stars on the shoulder straps. Make sure if you want this for riding season, that you order it well in advance.

This jacket is the Cats ass !
This jacket has the look. The leather is so soft with no break in required. The leather has a matte finish with no shine. The zipper, snaps. and epaulet stars also have no shine giving the Jacket a tactical feel. The lower belt loops are placed in a perfect spot to hook your thumb thru when kicking back. The price is steep but when you open the box its well worth it. Buy once cry once. You simply cant find nicer leather.
Now the ugly part. For some reason the zipper is a bitch to start. I'm not sure if it was a touch off when sewed in. Or if the tumble process affected it. I found a technique to get around this. Start the zipper as normal by tugging on the left side till the zipper seats then pull on the other side(right) of the jacket and it zips right up. I called Schott and they said this is not normal and they would exchange the jacket. Mine was the last XXL. There is a new batch going into production but who knows when. I love this jacket so much Im going to live with the bitch zipper. Its kind of like an old pan or shovel head They have their quirks but nothing looks better.
