It's a Dur-O-Jac, that I know, but any other info, how old it is, or anything at all would be greatly appreciated. Numbers on the tags are: 1645409002

LOT BNDL: 009

557

And why is it so much heavier than my 141?

Thanks! :)

The jacket  style is the 557 and based on the bar code numbers the jacket was made in 1994. The Durojac styles are cowhide jackets that to have a print on the leather to hide imperfections on the hides. We have made this same jacket in the style 157 which was in a naked cowhide but these hides are Grade A/B which means it is a very clean hide and more expensive. The pebbled cowhide leather jacket 557 is just as durable as our Steerhide and Naked cowhide leathers. We wanted to offer our customers the opportunity to purchase a jacket made in the USA , with quality materials and workmanship at a better price point.

When making any leather jackets for production hides are matched for each individual jacket. The leather hides vary in appearance, coloring and weight. This particular jacket probably has heavier hides. Gail

Alright, thank you so much, Gail! :)

I was wondering what it was exactly, as I've never seen this particular style before and it's just so heavy, and seems so durable. I mean, it's barely showing any signs of wear, which is something people might not like, but I find that neat.

I wish you haven't discontinued the DurOJac line.
