i have a schott leather jacket 151. i was wondering what years did you carry these and what the retail price at that time was? also i recently had it drycleaned. it looks new again and is all pretty and stuff but leather seems just slightly dry. can and should i use anything to condition it and if so what? one more question, is this lamb leather? |

We had a western style 151 in our line in 1993. The jacket was a rough-out oily nubuck leather with 4 front patch pockets. The jacket had adjustable side tabs and a polytwill lining. It probably retailed between $250. - $300. If the leather is dry it needs to be conditioned by a professional leather cleaner, especially on this type of "rough-out" leather. Any product you may apply could discolor or blotch the leather. If the jacket has not been maintained through the years, it is possible it cannot be restored. This usually happens when a jacket is consistantly being worn in the rain, storing the jacket in a hot area, or covering the jacket with plastic, all causing the leather to dry rot. Gail |

The Nubuck leather is a cowhide leather. Gail |
