I just recently bought this wonderful Schott MA-1 Air Force brown leather jacket, as a replacement for my now long outgrown issue Marine flight jacket.  It is far superior in quality to the original one I was issued.  I found it in a military surplus store, but apparently was non-issued and still new.  I would like to know the date of manufacture and the price it sold for then if possible.  I'm not an Ebayer or reseller, I just want to know about what I am wearing.  The information is as follows:  Jacket, Flyer's Man Intermediate, Type MA-1, Contract No. AF/127, Stock No. MA-1-1949, Schott Bros. Inc., N.Y.C., U.S.A., on one tag.  The other two tags read Size 44 and Made In USA.
