Anyway to date this ? Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot really provide a date for the jacket. If these are the only 2 tickets in the pocket, then the jacket was produced before bar codes we used on the pocket tickets which would be 1993. The jacket is our style 174 or 674 depending on the type of leather.  The woven  "IS674SM" label  in the jacket was used in all our flight jackets from 1965-1990, jackets prior to 1965 had a tyvek paper label. Based on the style the last year we made the 674 was in 1986 and the 174 was 1988. We started using the USA flag with size label in the late 1970's, so the oldest the jacket could be would be the late 1970's to the 1986 or 1988 depending on the style. Gail

What is the type the leather of the 174? The 674? How can you tell the difference . It is a darker brown, more like the shade on the top right of picture . Hard to photograph the color. Is it possible to add the fur collar to this model. Thanks for all the info

Is there any significance of the fact that the label is handwritten with no serial num? Is it some type of showroom sample or something ? Thanks

The 174 & 674 are the same leather except the 674 steerhide has a finish and the 174 does not have a finish. You cannot tell by the color. We can only add a fur collar if the jacket has snaps on the collar to attach a collar to. Being the jacket is old you would need to send the jacket into us to know what szie collar the jacket needs. To make a detachable pile collar the cost is $85.00 plus return shipping.

There is no significance in the hand written number, they number may have just been omitted whe nthe labels were printed. This was a production jacket,. Gail
