Hello, I just picked up this beauty for $20 at a salvation army today. I was wondering if anyone could help me get an approximate date from the label. Thanks in advance
This was a very popular styles we slight variations for over 20 years from 1973 - 1994. We made the jacket in both the steerhide and naked cowhide leather. Based on the 2 collar snaps, and the red size loop label it could be from the late 1970's - early 1980's. You can look in the pockets for a white ticket which would have the style number on it, this would tell you what leather it is. I cannot tell if the jacket has side buckles, side zipper vents or elasticized sides, which would also help date the jacket. The front zipper name can also help date a jacket, but there is no photo of the front zipper slider. Gail
