Hi,

I've just ebayed a very strange schott piece (to my eyes).

It is a flight jacket looks that looks like a A2 or G1. Nothing strange with that.

But... with a black collar label showing a bull and a cactus .

The label says: "perfecto genuine steerhide-handcut by schott bros"

There is a little tab under the label with "Lot size 46" in navy blue letters.

There is another tab identical in the right pocket just between the leather and the lining.

I thougt Perfecto was a name dedicated to motorcycle jackets and not flight jackets.

Is it possible to date that piece (has it ever existed with that label) or is it a fake with a label which has nothing to do with the jacket?

Tanks for your advices.

Attached are two picures: one of the label and one of the back of the jacket.

This Perfecto label with the blue Bull and Cactus dates back to the 1960's. Unfotunately just the photo of the top half of the back of the jacket gives me no clue what jacket this is. I would need the jacket photos from the front of the jacket to try and research the style number of the jacket. The Perfecto label is a label used in our motorcycle jackets, but many riders selected a style similar to a flight jacket for riding. If you can post additional photos I will try to get more information for you on the jacket. Gail

The jacket looks to be our old style 674 and it was produced with the Perfecto label even though it was a A/2 flight jacket in style. As I explained this jacket style was a popular style for riders, especially if they did not want the look of Marlon Brando, which was the "Bad Boy" look at that time. Gail
