1928 75th jacket I.D.
Watch this Post
Gail.... The pocket tag in my 1928 D Pocket jacket reads: 1400506018, LOT 42, BUNDLE 004, 1928. It is a size 42, and has NO-307 stamped on the inner rear waistband. It came with no box or certificate. It seems like a 42 Long, or Tall, however. Is this Steerhide, or Horsehide, and was it for the Domestic or Foreign Market? Thanks much!

We did not offer the 1928 in long or tall sizes only regulars. Since the style number is 1928 it is a steerhide jacket, the horsehide version style number was 1928H. The jackets were produced in the USA but we do ship internationally from our website store and we also have international distributors. Gail

I don't suppose there's a chance I could obtain an original box and Certificate of Authenticity, even if it meant sending the jacket to you for verification of authenticity ?   (they say it never hurts to ask ! )

Thanks again....

I am sorry but we would be unable to provide a box and certification on a used jacket. Since you are posting on ebay to sell, you can also try posting on our trading post above. Many Schott customers and collectors check this option we offer when looking for a particular jacket. Gail

I will do that as soon as my eBay ad is posted later on.

I'm fairly certain that Schott used a naked cowhide for this model 1928. Wolverine

Thank you Wolverine for catching my mistake, you are correct the 1928 is a naked cowhide leather and not a steerhide. Gail
